Who We Are

The White Center Arts Alliance is a resident-led, volunteer group of approximately 16 people. The Alliance provides cultural, intellectual and emotional support to White Center youth and the broader White Center community by coordinating arts and cultural programs in the neighborhood. The Alliance works in partnership with the community and other local organizations with similar missions. Our ultimate goal is to establish a central Cultural Community Center to promote multi-cultural programs, events and classes designed to enrich civic unity, participation and cultural awareness.

The White Center Arts Alliance and WCCDA are partnering to create Arts and Culture programming in White Center for 2007. Each of these programs is intended to celebrate the diverse nature of White Center residents and businesses, both for the local participants as well as for the broader surrounding community. Arts and culture are consistently a source of much pride for our neighborhood. White Center is home to people from around the world, yet is sometimes tarred with a reputation of being unsafe and isolated. Locals know better- and it is with that intention that the White Center Arts Alliance seeks to change the reputation of the neighborhood.
